He looks over and says see I told you that you should have gotten a turtle. You would have gotten it instead of him (Chuy) and taken such good care of him that we when we saw Sam, I would have said, "Good job, now you're ready for a dog."
Ohhhh really? We would have taken our pet turtle to the fundraiser for the Humane Society and walked him around the park on a leash- where we would then see Sam and frantically fill out the adoption papers?

I collect little turtle figurines! I actually had a turtle shell that someone had given me, but I just recently tossed it! It was just too creepy!! He had gotten stuck in a fence and when the person that gave it to me came along all that was left was his shell!! Instead of him dying I like to think that there is this little naked turtle walking around in the world somewhere:)

hahaha. My mom had a pet turtle and it was a little bitty thing. Maybe the size of a half dollar named Oscar. She had him for a long time even after she accidentally stepped on him and cracked his shell. Super glue works wonders!
I had a pet turtle. It was boring. Even my second graders thought so. That tells you something.
