My interview went pretty well... it was super short and she said she would call me on Monday to let me know either way (I'm crossing my fingers!).
I ended up going shopping [never mind the fact that my bank account is horribly depressed and will not speak to me] and one of my stops was Hobby Lobby to get a shadow box. I wanted something to put pictures of my grandma, some cards with her handwriting, and the rose from her funeral in and thought this would be the perfect way to display them:) Now I just have to figure out where to hang it!
I also got these two signs for Eric's poker room/man-cave:
The best part? They were 80% off!!! 20 each originally and I got them for $4 a piece. Yay :)
So excited :)
And a couple of our favorites:
The last store we went into, the sales lady was CRAAAAZY. She was asian and had funny broken english [her words, not mine!] and kept telling us all these silly stories. She is engaged to a man that she met six months ago, but he lives 4 hours away so they only get to see each other once a week...he wants to visit more, but she thinks that's enough. And she told us she wanted to get married but not move there...just keep commuting. WHAAAT? omg, no. And her fiancee "hurts" himself if he doesn't get to talk to her[she said a couple of weeks ago he tried to call her but she was in a meeting so he burned himself ]... he's in the FBI so personally I feel like he should me a little more stable? Hmmm..
We were there for a while listening to her stories, and she was definetly good for a laugh [or raised eyebrow]:)
One last thing: Amanda over at 20 Times a Lady is having a giveaway for a Martha Stewart Living magazine subscription. She's super sweet, so go check it out! She will pick the winner on Monday.
So I have the night off and am about to run to Harp's and rent a RugDoctor. Have any of you ever used one? We only have two rooms of carpet so I was thinking it might be a little cheaper than having someone come do it for me. I don't know... we'll see how it goes!!

What a sweet shadow box...a great way to remember your Grandma.
I love Hobby Lobby!!! After reading your post, I really want to go there! Maybe sometime this week :-)
And those rings are gorgeous! I remember the time I went with Luke's sister because SHE wanted to look at rings because SHE was getting engaged soon...really, Luke had sent her with me to try to find out what kind of ring I wanted. He's sneaky sometimes! But that was such a fun time! Enjoy it :-)
I love the shadow box!! It is beautiful and you are very creative!! I think I will head up to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to see if I can get some sales:):)
I love all the rings!! And I love your tattoo!!

The Rug Doctor is of Satan!! Not a fun way to spend a weekend.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I just read lots of your posts on your blog.
1) I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. I LOVE the shadow box. That is such a sweet way to remember her. I'll definitly keep your sweet grandpa and your whole family in my prayers.
2) I LOVE all of those rings. My hubby went the simple way - which is great - but I still love looking at blingy rings. :)
3) The Rug Doctor is amazing. We had to use it when we moved into our house. I found it easy to use and great results. Have fun!!
4) I love Hobby Lobby but we don't have one where I live. I'm so jealous!
