it's silly how much we love these dogs...

It's a (new!) Family Tradition

Every week on Wednesday, we will take turns going to someone's (me, my older sister, or my parents) house for dinner. The persons house you are going to does the cooking (ah!) and LAST NIGHT was my turn.


(I hardly cook at all, but when I do it's just for the two of us and suddenly there's going to be 6..7.. 8 people over!??!!! I was so nervous!We had a mexican chicken casserole and I got the recipe from Kelly's Korner recipe blog (then TRIPLED it!!!)

My sister and diggy... I'm loving her new reading glasses:) SO CUTE!Getting the ingredients prepped.. instead of using tortillas I just got a bag of corn Doritos and crushed them up on the bottom :) Then mix the cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, rotel and broiled chicken.. pour over the top and cover with cheese:
oh the CHEESE!! best part of the whole dish! cook for about 30 minutes and voila! delicious!

And don't forget the cookies that Kap made for dessert! She decorated them all by herself, and did a fabulous job!

After that I was so into eating that I completely forgot to take any more pictures, haha! We just sat around, ate, talked and watched some t.v. I'm so happy to spend time with my family (and that they braved the weather when it was supposed to be getting down in the single digits here in NWA!) This is a tradition I hope sticks!

Plus my sister is supposed to be making enchiladas next week, so I really hope it sticks!

WE MOVED!!!

We have been kind of half-heartedly looking for a new house closer to my work for the past couple of months since our lease was about to end. Nothing going... too small, too much carpet, too much rent, no pets, no garage (that was Eric's big thing..haha)

I just about gave up hope and figure we would just sign a new lease when I got an email about this 2 bedroom house with ALL hardwood floors ( I DIE!). So, that was Monday. By Friday night, we had just unloaded the last box into this new house and are getting settled.

4 days people. We packed Tues- Thurs and then Friday morning (with the GREAT help of my parents- we seriously could not have done it without ya'll!!!) loaded everything up and got moved into the new place!

Kitchen Part 2, the door leads to:
The dining room, which leads to the backyard. Here is a picture that our landlord sent us of the backyard when in the spring. It has a fence now, and he left all the patio furniture so we had that, the picnic table and two dog houses!


One side of our room... the closet (small :() has mirrors for doors and our dresser is on the other side where I was standing.

We have a two car garage now which the boys love. They are still working on getting it cleaned and organized so I didn't take many pictures of it. Also the door leads to the backyard and has a doggy door in it! LOVE!

This is in the garage as well, and has its own seperate little room. I'm not so sure about coming out into the freezing cold garage to put clothes in the dryer... but eh, what can you do?!

I love the new house and I'm imagining many fun times and great memories made here!

Christmas 2009

We spent the night at my mom's on Christmas Eve, like every year. My parents made toasted sub sandwiches and soup. Then we seperate all the presents into piles (for quick openage on Christmas morning!)

It had been rainy and dreary all day long, then we looked out the window around 9 and saw SNOW falling!!! And not even just a few flakes, it was falling down hard. So exciting, I don't remember the last time we had a white Christmas!

I told my mom I was taking a picture of my pile so I would know if anyone messed with it! I got cowboy boots (my favorite present, but they were too small , boo ), placemats for the kitchen table (YES!), a beautiful ring that I had been eyeing, some cupcake stuff for the kitchen, shoes, and a new camera from Eric. Thanks mom for everything!

Poor Chuy and his santa beard. It came up to his little chest and he was just shivering with every step. Plus the other dogs were leaving him in the dust, so he spent most of his day inside.. where it's WARM!

Happy Birthday Edizzle!

Today is Eric's birthday... 31 years OLD! haha! We took it easy... lounged around, ate Red Robin's for lunch, rented some movies, played 1 vs. 100 on the xbox (our favorite!)

I'm sorry to say that poor Eric had to make his own birthday dinner... haha! But trust me, I think it's better than me messing it up! I'm better as the documenter!
